“Zanzeer” is the remake of the super hit 1973 Amitabh Bachchan Starrer, being directed by Apoorva Lakhia. This film encountered some problems regarding the release of its first look and teasers. The teaser was expected to release on Monday, and the team flew down to Hyderabad, for releasing the trailer of Telugu version.
The High Court of Bombay ordered that the trailer should be withdrawn, and should not be released in Hindi, till further orders are given. This may be due to the sons of (late) Prakash Mehra-Sumeet and Puneet’s complaint against Amit Mehra, their brother, who is the producer of the remake of “Zanzeer”. The 1973 film was produced by their father, (late) Prakash Mehra. Amit had bought the remake rights from them already, but these people terminated the grant of remake rights agreement. When they came to realize that the advertising of the film is all set, with the release of the Telugu trailer on 25th March, approached the High court. The case is being fought by Naik and Naik from Amit’s side and Little and Co represented Sumeet and Puneet.
