The most awaited flick of NTR, “Baadshah” released today(5th April ). Here goes the review of “Baadshah”. Sreenu Vaitla is the director of the movie and Bandla Ganesh is the producer. The film has a lot of expectations on it. Let us see how far it will reach them.

Story:
The film has NTR in the role of “Baadshah”, athe youngest and most aggressive player in the International crime syndicate, headed by Saadhu Bhai(Mukesh Rushi). Saadhu Bhai’s trusted follower is the father of Baadshah, Ranjan(Mukesh Rushi). He operates a very successful casino in Macau. The highly aggressive nature and the innovative mind of Baadshah soon creates a rivalry between him and Saadhu Bhai, who plans to finish him off along with his family, with the help of Crazy Robert(Ashish Vidyarthi) and Violent Victor(Pradeep Rawat), the rival dons. He also plans terrorist attacks in many parts of India. Baadshah decides to destroy these plans of Sadhu for which he takes the help of Janaki(kajal Agarwal) and her father Jai Krishna Simha(Nasser), who is a strict police commissioner of Hyderabad. He heads a joint family in which Padmanabha Simha(Brahmanandam) is a member.

The young blood comes to know that there is so much to do i.e. more than what he could see. Baadshah has a very tragic past and a great and determined motive to fight against Saadhu Bhai. What is that? Who is this man? How does Padmanabha Simha fit into his plans? Here goes the rest of the story.

Positive Points:

NTR suits the best in the role of Baadshah, which needs aggression, style and ruthlessness. He had given all those in a speck. The comedy done by him and the chemistry between him and Kajal Agarwal in Italy is simply amazing. In the second half, he succeeded in changing his dialogue delivery and appearance without much effort, so that he could become some other person. He is well known for his dances and as usual, he has given amazing dance performances, especially in the songs “Sairo Sairo” and “Rongoli Rangoli”. This film will be an eye feast to the audiences because of some sequences, designed specially to delight them. The special thing is the short but wonderful appearance of NTR in the getup of “Justice Chowdary”. The resemblance of his grandfather, the legend of Telugu Cinema, is simply superb. We come across a lovely medley in Sangeeth episode in the second half. It completely is made up of Sr NTR’s songs.

The voice over of Mahesh is very effective and it comes many a times in the first half at crucial scenes. The role of Brahmanandam is antic as Inspector Padmanabha Simha and it is the major asset of the film. We just roll on the floor laughing for the scenes between NTR, Brahmanandam and Nasser. “Living out a Dream” is a concept of the Hollywood film, “Inception”. Sreenu Vaitla has used this concept cleverly in designing the comedy track of Brahmanandam. The role of Revenge Nageswara Rao has been played by M S Narayana, who suits the character perfectly. The character, which has a little resemblance to Ram Gopal Varma, but not to the point of offence, makes the audiences laugh. He had taken a great care to make people laugh in the first half along with NTR, Vennala Kishore and Kajal Agarwal.

Negative Points:

The film resembles the previous projects of Sreenu Vaitla. Jaya Prakash Reddy, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Master Bharat, Chandra Mohan and Tagubothu Ramesh did not get the roles fit for their talent. Nearing the interval, the film slows down a little. One of the fights should have been omitted to fasten the story a bit.

Verdict:

This summer, “Baadshah” will be entertaining all classes of people. The performances of NTR, Kajal Agarwal, Brahmanandam and M S Narayana, coupled with a highly hilarious second half, can be considered the backbone of the film. The film has the same mark of Sreenu Vaitla’s previous films, but it provides a great entertainment for sure. Common….watch it!!! Guaranteed entertainment!!!
