“Sri and Aksha starer movie “Rai Rai”. Sudheer Raju is the director, Sri Vasanth being the music director. Let us have a detailed outlook of the movie.

Story:
Chanti, Sreenu(Sri), Rambabu and Sandeep are good friends since childhood. They cause trouble to the neighbours through their silly acts. They roam recklessly without having any aim. The friends are once insulted by the headman Bhadram (Ahuthi Prasad) of the village, after which Sandeep runs away and others continue to roam recklessly. Bhadram has a daughter Lakshmi(Aksha), with whom Sreenu falls in love. Lakshmi feels the same about Sreenu and as they know that Bhadram never accepts their relationship, they decide to elope in order to get married. His friends, who are expected to help them, behave strangely and unexpectedly at the last minute, which turns the story into a new direction. Durga, a demoralized sadist kidnaps Lakshmi. Sreenu, being in love with Lakshmi, starts looking for her. The rest of the story deals with whether Sreenu will be able to knock down Durga and find Lakshmi and what will happen to their love relationship.

Positive Points:

The flick has good satires and one lined dialogues that are delivered by Sri, whose performance is clean. Aksha has made herself, quite suitable for the role of an innocent and beautiful village girl, which she had performed with a lot of ease. The character of Ahuthi Prasad as an evil person is very effective and can be said to be a plus point to the film. The person who had played the character of the kidnapper Durga is also quite good.

Negative Points:

Nothing new has been shown in the movie, the same old routine story. The screenplay should have been neat and new so that the eyes of the audience never move away from the screen. But, that did not happen in the movie. The character design of the village headman, Bhadram is extremely cruel. There are many scenes completely raw and violent that may disappoint many people. The first half is better but the second half can easily be predicted. The songs are misplaced and have spoiled the story flow. The fight is the climax scene is a bit too cruel and it makes the people feel awkward!! The film is unnecessarily stretched near the climax and there appear many loop holes. The sudden change in the character of Ahuthi Prasad is not very apt.

Verdict:
The story is old, slow and predictable. The unnecessarily extended climax makes the film boring. The performances of the lead characters Sri and Aksha are very clean and good but this is not enough to support and save the movie.
