The movie “Backbench Student” is releasing all over the world today. Madhura Sreedhar is the director of this “Real life based story”. Mahat Raghavendra, Pia Bajpayee and Archana Kavi played the lead roles in the movie. Prasad G.K. is the cinematographer and the music was scored by Sunil Kashyap. Here is the complete review of the movie.

Story:

The entire story revolves around the three lead roles. Karthik (Mahat raghavendra) and Priyanka (Archana Kavi) belong to the same class in Engineering.  They fall in love with each other during the 4 year course. Karthik does not take his education seriously and as a result, he ends up B Tech with 16 backlogs. Priyanaka’s father forces her to pursue higher education, MS in U.S.A, after her graduation, which brings a rift in their relationship.

Karthik’s parents (Sarath Babu and Pragathi) react severely, when they come to know about his backlogs. Now, Karthik has to look for a job for himself. He is a very good ethical hacker and he wishes to put the talent in use. At this crucial point, “Chitra” enters his life, helps him in getting a job. They involve themselves in a relationship with each other. Priyanka comes back to India, searching for Karthik, just when the love story of “Karthik-Chitra” is about to take off. “What happens to the “Love triangle” and whom Karthik ends up with??” there goes the rest of the story.

Postive points:

Archana Kavi looks beautiful and remembers us “The girl next door”. Pia Bajpayee looks really cute and her performance is clean. The characters of Banarjee, Sharath Babu and Pragathi are dignified and natural. The comedy of Ali as an incompetent manager of projects is good.

Negative Points:

The film is not at all well made. After a good start, the film just plunges and never manages to recover. The story is predictable and the screenplay is clumsy. The hero is the main back turn for the film. His expressions and performance are not at all natural and lacks surety. Some of the dialogues make the film unbearable to watch. The romantic tracks are not at all worth watching, they lack chemistry. The scenes are stretched out without any necessity and the climax is awful. The role of Brahmanandam is very worst, that I have never expected to see. The director has named his character as “Kareena Kapoor” and his mobile contacts have the names “Aamir Khan”, “Sharukh Khan” and other Bollywood actors, which has nothing to do with the storyline and not all funny.

The cinematography is very bad and the unnatural colors take away the life of the movie. The music and background score are not at all effective. While a punch dialogue is delivered, the background score must remain in the background. But here, the score drowns away the dialogues.

Verdict:

The movie is not worth watching, poorly written, irritating climax and rocky expressions. “Backbench Student” is a poorly executed flick.
