Recently, the Union Minister for Tourism and Megastar Chiranjeevi attended TANA Mahasabhalu which is held in USA and launched the event. As a token of honor, gold coins were released by some of Chiranjeevi’s fans and followers. A total of 149” Padmabhushan Kalaprapurna Megastar Dr.chiranjeevi”, gold coins went on auction. The gold coins symbolize 149 movies of Chiranjeevi.
Names of each movie of Chiranjeevi were inscribed on the back of each gold coin. The amount collected through this auction was donated to Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust.
Also to commemorate Telugu move artists on coins during 100 year celebrations of Indian Cinema, A coin is being released on the late legend N T Rama Rao. The coin would be released during the 40th anniversary of Delaware Valley Telugu Association on June 28 and 29 at King of Prussia, where donations for the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer hospital would also be collected. Chilakapati Nageswara Rao and Rami Reddy of Golden Line Company, which prepared the coin, said the coin would have the etched figure of NTR on one side and the emblem of the hospital on the other. Hero Bala Krishna also would be given life time achievement award at the function.
